Setting Up External MIDI Tracks
In Project 5 version 2.5 you can use hardware synths and samplers. In the "Add Track" section, click the "Insert External MIDI Track" button. It's the middle button that looks like a MIDI Port. This will add the appropriate type of track to your project. In the "Inspector", on the left, you will see a menu for "MIDI Out". The top field will allow you to specify the port that your hardware instrument is connected to and the bottom field is to choose the channel.
